Hamburger Stroganoff Recipe
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can (8 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups cooked egg noodles or rice
- parsley (optional)
- Brown beef and onion in butter a large skillet until onion is tender.
- Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
- Stir in flour, salt, pepper and mushrooms and cook 5 minutes more.
- Stir in soup and lower heat to a simmer. Simmer for 10 minutes, uncovered.
- Stir in sour cream until heated through.
- Serve over noodles or rice, sprinkled with parsley.
